Inflamed like a pustule! Hot, like a New York steam vent! Angry, like the Marquis de Sade (though not nearly as nutz)! Some people are constitutionally incapable of being honest. Of this I am now convinced. I'm thinking, of course, of one person in particular, but her 'personality' is a template for others like her and one I've seen too often to simply ignore as a unique phenomenon to the individual. No! This woman is a liar and a mercurial flaming wigout on a daily basis and I don't know why anyone would or should try to be nice or civil to her. She says one thing - I'll do such and such - and 10 minutes later it's "I really don't want to do this." She's the type of person who enters into an investment deal with you, lets you do all the legwork, waits until the final moment when it's time to sign the contract and she mutters, "I really don't want to do this."

What the f%#@ is that all about? I believe a person has a right to change her (or his) mind, certainly. But do it within a reasonable period, can't you? Why must you wait to the moment of truth, so to speak, to drop your little "I'm confused, selfish, scared, insensitive or just plain stupid" act on a cohort, companion or friend?

People like the one I speak of live miserable lives and die lonely, scary deaths - if there's justice in the universe!

I don't mean to rant too much here, but really, how can anyone, on a consistent basis, be so flaky, so inconsistently consistent, so inscrutable, if you will, so as to make it impossible to depend on anything she says?

Say what you mean and do what you say you'll do and we'll get along just fine. But play off your tempermental, emotionally unstable freak show mind and make up lies just for the sake of lying and we'll be nothing to one another really fast!

Now that may be no great loss since I'm pretty much a curmudgeonly type, but believe me, one needs friends. Real friends. And I make a good and true friend to those who treat me accordingly. Hell, even to those who don't if I feel or see something in a person I find somehow attractive or interesting.

Enough! I'm done. Whew! Sorry. I had to get that out of my system for the sake of my sanity - which still hangs in the balance, but at least I've regained a bit of composure and can now go forward into that good night a little steadier than I would have otherwise.

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening and goodnight.
